How do I install ProfileMate?

This article details how you can install and use the ProfileMate app available from WickedApps.com.

There are two main steps, (1) Install ProfileMate in Google Chrome, and (2) Enter your Instagram account for access.

Note: Do not use your personal Instagram account. It is recommended to set up and use a separate Instagram account for use with ProfileMate.

Complete the following steps to install and configure ProfileMate:

1. Sign in to your ProfileMate account. From the Home tab you will see two steps for installing and configuring ProfileMate. Click on INSTALL PROFILEMATE to download the Google Chrome extension as a ZIP file.
   
   
   
   
2. If you have the pop-up blocker in Chrome enabled, the download may be blocked. You can click on the pop-up blocker icon then manually open the link or allow pop-ups for the profilemate.com website.
   
   
   Alternatively, the website has a "this link" text that you can click on to download the ZIP file.
   
   
   
3. Browse to your Downloads folder then right-click on the profilemate ZIP file and select Extract All...
   
   
   
4. Browse to a folder to extract the files and click Select Folder.
   
   
   
5. Click Extract.
   
   
   
6. The folders and files will be extracted to your chosen directory. The profilemate_extension folder will be used in the next steps to manually load the extension.
   
7. Load chrome://extensions/ in your Google Chrome address bar then click on the toggle next to Developer mode to enable developer mode in Chrome.
   
   
   
   
8. Click on Load unpacked.
   
   
   
9. Select the profilemate_extension folder that was extracted from the ZIP file in step 6 and click Select Folder.
   
   
   
10. The extension will. be added and enabled.
    
    
    
11. For your convenience, it is recommended to pin the extension so it is easier to load.

12. Click on the extension icon to load your Dashboard and use the ProfileMate extension tool. The installation has been completed!
    
    
13. Sign in to the Instagram account you will be using in another browser tab, then return to the Home screen tab and enter your Instagram account username and click Submit.
